Making a Website https://elaanis.com/AWS Future Self&nbsp; –An opportunity to share stories from Amazon's AWS diverse scholarship recipients. &nbsp; While at Revery, we were tasked to create the visual framework as well as execution for a video series for Amazon Web Services (AWS). This series aimed to increase program awareness for a scholarship participants (cohorts), as well as build positive sentiment for AWS’s passion to increase equality and diversity in tech. During each hero documentary, we touched on the cohort’s current and future project plans in the AIML space, as a piece of the overall human story. This second piece of our narrative allowed us to unpack their project in a more detailed way while showcasing the applied learning achieved through the scholarship program. In addition to creating a thorough approach to art direction that would be shared with a variety of directors in numerous locations, we also needed to design a comprehensive visual language and tool kit to be used within the series, as well as other marketing applications. Our solution was to build onto the classic Amazon typographic stying by adding 2 additional type modes: Display, for larger copy expressions, and captions/details as a supportive design element. Lastly, a highlighting effect was used when emphasis was needed for key words within copy. We created a tool kit of simple infographics that could be a applied to general or lighter forms of data, to complex graphics to convey complex themes. Making a Website https://elaanis.com/Favor Favor&nbsp; –A new model of comprehensive care for those who are often unheard. &nbsp; The Pill Club had established itself as one of the leading providers of birth control online. In the Summer of 2021 they felt the need to be more than that. They noticed that their consumers felt the healthcare industry/system left people feeling rarely heard and often unseen. In order to be the holistic healthcare provider The Pill Club did not see in the marketplace, they had to expand their initial vision. They contacted Character to help structure and focus this goal, along with shaping the look and tone of this newer parent brand, Favor. Via positioning, we focused on becoming the wellbeing coalition we’ve been waiting for. When developing what this would look and sound like, we found inspiration in traditionally feminine art forms, particularly quilting. We created a colorful, layered, graphic system composed of "blocks" representing their current and future offerings.&nbsp; With this new identity in place, we were then able to apply it digitally via a website redesign. We also created new packaging for both their birth control offerings, as well as new products that catered to sexual wellness, period care, skin care and more. Lastly we were able to shoot a launch campaign of still and video assets, depicting the sense of camaraderie found within women and people who menstruate.&nbsp;This resulted in a vibrant, clear, and expressive identity, distinct from other women focused healthcare. Our system allowed us to focus on the various stories of all women, as well as people who identify, present, or have presented as women. Fresco (Drop at the time) had become one of the first and more successful smart kitchen companies. The connected home is a burgeoning market, and the kitchen space is ripe for innovation. There was a need to expand beyond their current offerings, to become a&nbsp; truly strong, and ownable brand for long-term growth. People are both interacting with technology and cooking more than ever. However, instead of technology easing the cooking experience, it now created unforeseen pressures (instead of creating a culinary oasis.) This is where Fresco stepped in, offering "to bridge the gap between intention and action around cooking". Via its app, it connects all the smart kitchen devices found within your home to create a harmonic, simple, and empowering cooking experience. Visually, we jumped at this idea of connection. Each component in the kitchen was distilled into a simple form (in this case a circle/dot), working in tandem to create and meal worth sharing. Our system aimed to remind viewers of a seamless, lively, savory cooking experience. With a modular grid as its backbone, we created a variety of expressions that all pointed to the idea of &nbsp;"Connecting dots in the kitchen". The goal was to balance a kinetic and rhythmic sensibility that can be found within the kitchen, while still feeling rooted within tech. Making a Website https://elaanis.com/lululemon-Like-New lululemon: Like New&nbsp; –Rethink. Revive. Rediscover. Continuing with its sustainability efforts, lululemon decided to start a new recommerce program. To help propel this new effort, Character was asked to work within the foundation of the established lululemon brand, and create a distinct visual identity to introduce Like New to the public. Along with this identity, we were asked to build a microsite, social assets, packaging, and lastly a launch campaign. Because the program itself had three cyclical steps, we wanted to visually bring to mind the idea of Circularity. Using only a new color palette and copy, we created a rich archive of 2D and 3D graphics to be used in motion, with imagery, as well as on their own. In addition, we wanted to showcase the exceptional quality of the clothing that would be found within the program. Each application aimed to be informative, asperational, and sustainable. What resulted was a cohesive campaign and system applied on various applications from instagram post to billboards in strategically placed in key markets. Our identity successfully felt new, while still echoing the already established lululemon brand. The pilot did well enough that the Like New program was then launched nationwide. Making a Website https://elaanis.com/Nike-By-You Nike By You – A collaboration between consumers and an iconic brand. 20 years after launching Nike-iD, Nike needed to reposition itself as leaders in footwear customization. We were asked to focus the very inconsistent visual/strategic usage of Nike-iD. The goal was to fit seamlessly within the world of Nike, but standing alone as its own unique identity.Strategically we wanted to highlight all the unique possible variations that came with Nike’s customization service. This meant reflecting so in the visual identity. Making a truly collaborative system between Nike and You. Black outlined graphics and copy serves as the base layer (Nike). The top layer is expressive and creative (You)working with the base layer to create a truly personal and visual language that is always Nike by You.
